Day 5

My days aren’t consecutive- just saying. Today I had a lie in! Got up at 9am! Now having a strong black coffee and not feeling guilty about deliberately missing Parkrun as I have been tired all week which is very unusual. My legs are feeling heavy and still a little achey but nothing major. I’m not missing having a run which is a good thing though I am really looking forward to my 30 miler next Wednesday! Day 4

So there I was yesterday saying I don’t ache or anything and today my toes and arches have been twingeing all day! Also I never ate when I got in yesterday and only ate at about 11:30 this morning so a full 24 hour intermittent fast but I wasn’t hungry so never ate. I’ve just eaten stir fry with two eggs and some Greek yoghurt after so about 1800 calories today maybe. Day 3

So my blisters have healed thanks to zinc tape and my favourite cream Sudocrem– not bad as my last marathon was Sunday. I am meant to entering a time of periodisation but I might go for a 30 miler next Wednesday to test some nutrition strategy I have. I think I’m eating too many Clif bars and think I might be able to get by on 1.5 per marathon instead of 3. I’ll let you know.  My legs feel good now with no DOMS or aching. Ok quick post but I was recently talking to a friend on Facebook about their sleep deprivation or the fact they are waking up in the middle of the night. Now I know not to look at my phone or watch a film right before bed but here’s a link to an article on it.
